Meet Mrs. Galvin
Chris Galvin teaches middle school honors math. She helped to establish the honors program at St. John the Evangelist school and she strongly believes that all children will rise to a high standard of learning when encouraged and recognized for their accomplishments. We should never lower the bar, but expect the best and students will strive to be the best they can be!
Mrs. Galvin joined St. John the Evangelist school in August 2011 and has taught language arts and literature. She home-schooled all four of her children from preschool to college, who are now post graduates from Virginia Tech, College of William and Mary, and George Mason University.
Mrs. Galvin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Marymount University and a Master of Science degree in education from Franciscan University, Steubenville.
Mrs. Galvin is also the founder and producer of the TORCH Drama Club at St. John the Evangelist Parish which began in 2002. She is married to Deacon Ken Galvin, and her family has been parishioners of St. John the Evangelist church since 1991.
