Meet Mrs. Lomax

Mrs. Lomax joined St. John the Evangelist School in August 2014 as an Extended Day staff member. She went on to become the Extended Day Program Director for 5 years. Then in June 2019, Mrs. Lomax became a part-time Office Administrative Assistant and Part-Time Kindergarten Teacher’s Aide in August. At the start of the 2020-2021 school year, Mrs. Lomax has happily passed on the Extended Day Director position to Mrs. Jacqueline (Jaci) Smith and the part-time Kindergarten Aide position to Mrs. Christina Crosby.

Prior to joining SJES, Mrs. Lomax worked for Blue Ridge Residential Services working with adults with special needs as the company’s Northern Virginia Regional Coordinator.

Mrs. Lomax has a Bachelor‘s and Master‘s Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also earned an Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Intervention certificate. In 2004, Mrs. Lomax received the Elaine Rothenberg Award in recognition of academic achievement, service to the School of Social Work, and commitment to the ideals of the social work profession; and she obtained the VCU School of Social Work Service Award, in recognition of service, contributed to the School of Social Work through the giving of time and talents to enhance the educational experience of students in the School of Social Work.

As of June 2020, Mrs. Lomax continues to serve Saint John the Evangelist Catholic School as our school’s Administrative Assistant in the front office.
