Our Academic Program: Integrating Faith, Intellect, and Character Development
At Saint John the Evangelist Catholic School, our academic program is deeply rooted in Catholic values, blending spiritual growth with intellectual rigor and social development. We believe in nurturing the whole child, from preschool through eighth grade, fostering a love for learning, a commitment to faith, and a sense of social responsibility.
Our curriculum is infused with Catholic teachings, emphasizing moral development and the importance of community service. Students engage in regular religious education, participate in Mass, and are encouraged to develop a personal relationship with God.
We offer a challenging and diverse curriculum designed to stimulate intellectual curiosity and academic excellence. Our experienced educators use innovative teaching methods, technology integration, and hands-on learning to cater to the unique needs of each student. Subjects include Language Arts, Literature, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and more, all taught with an emphasis on critical thinking and problem-solving.
In addition to these core areas, we offer an enriching array of special classes that contribute to a well-rounded education. Our Fine Arts and Music programs encourage creative expression and appreciation of visual, performing and musical arts. Our combined Health, Safety, and Physical Education curriculum ensures that students learn about making informed decisions for their health and well-being and engage in physical activities that promote fitness and teamwork. Computer Science introduces the fundamentals of coding and digital literacy, and importantly, it encompasses digital citizenship, ensuring our students are prepared for future technological advances. Furthermore, our Library services provide a vast resource for learning and exploration, fostering a lifelong love of reading and research. Collectively, these programs ensure that our students excel academically and develop holistically, prepared to thrive in all aspects of life.

We recognize the importance of social skills in personal and academic success. Our program promotes collaboration, respect, and empathy, preparing students to be compassionate community leaders. Extracurricular activities, sports, and community projects complement our academic offerings, providing students with opportunities to develop their talents and interests.
