Embrace the Journey of Learning: Join Our Continuous Enrollment Program

At Saint John the Evangelist, we believe in the power of uninterrupted learning and consistent community engagement. Our Continuous Enrollment Program is designed to simplify the re-enrollment process for our families, ensuring a seamless educational journey from preschool to pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten through 8th Grade.

By enrolling, you affirm your child’s place in our community year after year, removing the annual hassle of re-enrollment forms and fees. This commitment allows us to better plan for future academic offerings, faculty development, and resource allocation, ensuring the highest quality education for every student.

As part of our family, your child will benefit from a stable, nurturing educational environment deeply rooted in Catholic values, where academic growth and spiritual development go hand in hand.

Children applying for Preschool must be three years of age by September 30 of the year of entry and bathroom independent. Children applying for kindergarten must be five years of age by September 30. St. John the Evangelist may require readiness screening.

Transition from Preschool to Kindergarten: We are dedicated to ensuring a smooth and seamless transition for our preschool students advancing to kindergarten. While our continuous enrollment policy provides a streamlined process for most grade advancements, the move from preschool to kindergarten involves a few additional steps. We require a brief application process and the payment of associated fees for kindergarten registration. These requirements for entering kindergarten are consistent with those applied to new students. This uniformity ensures compliance with Virginia’s educational guidelines and provides the best educational experience for all students.

Application Process

Secure your child’s educational future with us and join our continuous journey of faith and learning.

Step 1 – Inquire

Please complete the inquiry form if you have questions about our school or admissions, class availability, or would like to schedule a tour.

Step 2 – Apply

Enrollment for 2024-2025 is now open.

Saint John the Evangelist utilizes an online application process for new students. We do not accept paper applications and checks.

Upon applying to Saint John the Evangelist School/Preschool, a non-refundable application fee of $150 must be paid to complete the application. Applications for all grades are subject to the review and recommendation of the admissions committee.

Your application will not be considered for acceptance until all of the required documents have been submitted and payment received. If you cannot upload the necessary papers with the online application, you may email them to admissions@sjesva.org or bring them into the office during school hours.

Be sure to submit your online FACTS financial application. All Diocesan Tuition Assistance paperwork must be submitted before the March 13, 2024 deadline.

Step 3 – Interview

Once all required documents are received and reviewed, our Admissions or Preschool Director will contact you to schedule an interview.

Step 4 – Enrollment

Upon acceptance, you will receive an email notification to complete the Enrollment Packet in FACTS. The packet is required for enrollment to be complete.

There is a $600 non-refundable Tuition Deposit per family. The deposit is due with the Enrollment Packet. This fee serves as your deposit for the applicable school year. It will be deducted from the total tuition. Upon receipt of this deposit, you are committing to the full tuition for the applicable school year.

This step is essential for us to comprehensively prepare for the unique needs of our incoming students, including staffing, resources, and classroom accommodations.
