Student Government
Student government is open to students in grades 4-8. This organization provides an opportunity for the students to develop leadership skills, a sense of responsibility, and school spirit.
Saint John the Evangelist Student Government Constitution
We, the Students of Saint John the Evangelist School, in order to organize and represent the student body, promote good citizenship, encourage a high standard of scholarship, support its spiritual goals, promote an unselfish spirit of ownership for our school, and serve its community do ordain and establish this constitution for the Student Government of Saint John the Evangelist School.
National Junior Honor Society
St. John the Evangelist is an active charter member of the National Junior Honor Society. The NJHS is a national organization, which is based on academic achievement, leadership, honorable and admirable character, citizenship and service that allows members to use their talents and skills for the improvement of society.
Membership in NJHS is open to those students who meet the required standards in five specific areas: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. Students are selected to be members by a five-member faculty council, appointed by the principal.
A minimum GPA of 90.0 must be met by the third quarter of sixth grade and maintained the entire seventh grade year. Eighth graders can become eligible after the second quarter of their eighth grade year.
