Assignment and Book Retrieval

Dear Parents,

Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17th we will open the school from 1-3pm so that materials and books can be retrieved. Students will only be able to go their homeroom classroom. All materials will be on the student’s desk. Middle School students will be able to access their lockers but should only go to their homeroom classroom where assignments for all courses can be found. Hopefully this will limit student contact and classroom exposure.

Diocesan schools will begin eLearning on Wednesday, March 18th. St. John students will be expected to work on core subjects from 9:00-12:00 p.m. each school day and complete any “specials” work from 1-2:00 p.m. All activities/events at the school have been cancelled until at least Monday, March 30th.

All private and public schools are following Governor Ralph Northam’s directive to close for the following two weeks. Some counties have announced closures that extend beyond the Governor’s mandate and St. John the Evangelist School will follow the dates of closure in Fauquier County.  The Diocese of Arlington Office of Catholic Schools continues to work with Local Health Departments and is closely monitoring the health crisis in China and globally associated with novel coronavirus infections (COVID-19).

We ask for your patience since the situation continues to be fluid and will continue to keep you updated with any new information. Should you not be able to come to the school during the designated hours, please feel free to reach out to me so that we may be able to accommodate you if possible.

May God’s unconditional love bless you and your family.
